Container tipping platform in Cologne-Niehl
A container tipping platform has been supplemented
to the SCHMIDT logistics hub in Cologne-Niehl in late
November, 2000. This facility allows to reload bulk granules and free-flowing powder products from 20’, 30’ or 40’ bulk containers into road tankers, rail cars and tank containers as well as big bags and other
special packages by gravity feed operation.
The SCHMIDT Group now operates a complete
container terminal at its Cologne-Niehl logistics hub
which is accessible by road, rail and water. The
terminal is equipped with modern stevedoring and
transhipment facilities.
