Data Interchange with KoSa via EDI

Since January, 2001, KoSa GmbH & Co. KG and the SCHMIDT Group have been connected via EDIFACT.
A series of Tests, with one specific location, already commenced in August, 2000. Now, the entire order volume is being transmitted using this system. All orders are conveyed directly from KoSa’s SAP/R3 system into the SCHMIDT TMS forwarding software.

The importance of EDIFACT within Supply Chain Management systems, increases more so, given the significant optimisation potential for both shipper and logistics service provider. (Please also refer to our EDIFACT site).

Through early and precise, co-ordination and planning, a rapid and successful realisation of the project was guaranteed at both ends of the communication chain.
