Another new construction area
SCHMIDT-Silo Complex in Hamm-Uentrop

After a rapid planning phase, the silo complex was erected within a few days.

The silo battery consisting of 12 aluminum silo units provides a capacity of each 240 m³ and will be used for the storage of plastic resins for our customer DuBay. (DuBay is a joint-venture between the chemical group of companies DuPont and Bayer)

By using a suction system, the PBT-resin will be forwarded directly out of the production into the silo battery from where the distribution with the SCHMIDT-road tankers will be effected.

The preparations for these transports are already in full activity. The estimated delivery will be effected according to the schedule by August 01,2003.

Uwe Simon, the branch manager of the Marl logistics facility will be also responsible for this new site.
