SCHMIDT Group Marl subsidiary awarded „Ecoprofit operation” certificate
The SCHMIDT Group subsidiary in Marl, Germany, has participated in the
“Ecoprofit operation” project. This project did not only focus on environmental
issues as it combines economical profit together with ecological benefits.
By establishing extensive working groups and other internal processes,
essential improvements could be found that bring the amount of annual benefits for SCHMIDT up to EUR 65,000.-.
After the successful completion of examinations and an audit performed by authority representatives and the Chamber of
Commerce, the “Ecoprofit operation” award has been presented within a ceremony in December, 2004, by Mrs. Bärbel Höhn, minister of the environment in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
