


Three contracts signed in Plock
The chemical producers Basell and PKN Orlen S.A. (state-run petrochemical Society of Poland) established the joint-venture company BOP (Basell-Orlen-Polyolefins) in Plock (ca. 120 kms West of Warsaw). The annual
production output of BOP will be 425,000 tons of PE and 400,000 tons of PP, which will be conveyed into 63 silo storage units with a capacity of each 800 m³.
SCHMIDT has won the tender for three different projects at this facility.
Since 1 August, 2005, SCHMIDT provides a team of 4 experts consulting the facility staff for a period of six months.
On 1 October, 2005, as the starting date of the second contract, SCHMIDT started to run the complete
operations at the container terminal for the coming years.
The third contract, running as of 1 November, 2005, enables SCHMIDT to organise a weekly dedicated train service for 50 Container units between Plock and the SCHMIDT
logistics facility at Grosslehna, Germany, including subsequent product storage and handling services.
