New service offer: Granules Separation
In co-operation with the Belgian enterprise Separation AG SCHMIDT now offers a solution for plastic granules which are contaminated with foreign particles.
Product-conditioned visible errors such as
spots, combustions, oxidations, turbidity or other impurities such as wood, paper or foil particles often cause substantial damages to primary products of the plastic producing industry. Although the contamination ratio is usually less
than one per cent, the entire batch will be devaluated.
With the new opto-electronic procedure of separating granules visible impurities and defects in plastic granules will be recognized precisely. The identified defective parts
are carefully sorted out by specific compressed air impulses reconditioning the material to the original quality.
In particular, high-quality technical thermoplastics like ABS, PA, PC, PMMA, PET, PVDF and in addition polyolefins
such as PE and PP may be upgraded with this separation procedure, whereas even smallest defects such as dust particles and metal impurities can be removed.
As the hourly output, 2.000 kg (depending on material) can be separated
with an accuracy of 99,998% during the first flow. The quality criteria for the immaculateness of the examined materials are reached by this procedure.
The separation procedure is performed at the SCHMIDT logistics centre
Cologne-Niehl or can be done direct in the customer’s site. Taking over the product is possible in nearly all usual packings; individual customer's requests can be considered as well.
