Wesseling:
Commendation for Operating Accident-Free
for Five Years
Five years accident-free, that means one million work hours without causing any
accidents.
A big success the staff of SCHMIDT/DOW in Wesseling was commended for mid December 2007.
This SCHMIDT team took on and handled almost one million tons of plastics granulate right from the DOW production. The majority
of this quantity was bagged and left the plant on trucks either bagged or by bulk container.
As most activities are performed manually on site, the resulting statistics showing zero accidents is an extraordinary achievement to be
rated rather highly.
Frank Berghoff (DOW Plant Manager) called this extraordinary achievement a milestone in DOW's history.
He honoured this accomplishment in a small ceremony and thanked the entire staff responsible for the
smooth and trouble-free running of all activities within the SCHMIDT/DOW plant for their excellent performance.
