With the opening of the borders of the Eastern Block countries and their focus towards the West, the SCHMIDT Group established a subsidiary company in Budapest in conjunction with another Hungarian company in 1990. This joint-venture company was named INTERSILO and shortly after it’s foundation, the SCHMIDT Group took control of the shareholding and today, therefore, this traffic office is 100% owned by the SCHMIDT Group.

INTERSILO’s function within the SCHMIDT Group is to manage the Hungarian vehicles within the SCHMIDT fleet as well as to acquire loads to Western Europe.
