In spring, 2002, SCHMIDT inaugurated a logistics centre on the Vestolit production site within the Marl Chemical Park. Annually, about 140,000 tons of PVC products are conveyed from the production line directly into the SCHMIDT silo
battery, consisting of 28 units. Each unit has a capacity of 350 m³.
The construction of this logistics centre is a result of the excellent co-operation between Vestolit and SCHMIDT with the completion of transports over several
years.
SCHMIDT provides extensive logistics service including bagging in sacks, palletising, loading of bulk products into road tankers or containers as well as warehousing. A warehouse located adjacent to the logistics facility is
able to accommodate up to 2,000 tons of bagged and palletised products.
